A key technology in modern aluminum recycling equipment is the melting of lumpy and contaminated aluminum scrap, especially aluminum chips. Tilting rotary furnaces effectively address this challenge, offering rapid feeding times combined with low energy consumption, reducing the amount of salt required and increasing equipment output and economic efficiency.
The aluminum melting rotary furnace is suitable for processing large quantities of hot dross, cold dross, and high-iron aluminum dross. It requires minimal personnel, only one skilled forklift operator and one assistant, and can process several tons to tens of tons of hot and cold aluminum dross per day, resulting in high work efficiency. Hot dross raked from the furnace is fed into the rotary furnace using a rotating forklift. The forward and reverse rotation of the rotary furnace combined with the back-and-forth stirring of the forklift rake separates the aluminum from the dross. Temperature control is crucial during operation; cold dross or small amounts of primary aluminum can be added as a temperature control agent and for secondary refining.
After processing, the rotary furnace body is tilted using a hydraulic cylinder to pour out the molten aluminum. After the molten aluminum is poured out, the rotating body can be used to unload the ash, making the operation simple and convenient. The aluminum recovery rate from the dross reaches over 80%, and with the use of a screening-type cold ash bin, the overall recovery rate reaches over 90%. The rotary furnace and screening-type cold ash bin are ideal equipment for replacing crucibles and vertical ash stirring machines for large-scale processing of aluminum dross and cold dross.
The rotary furnace does not require a heating device for processing either hot or cold dross. Especially when processing cold dross, only a batch of hot dross raked from the furnace is needed for continuous operation. The operation requires no additional energy consumption beyond the electricity for equipment operation. Because of the centralized processing, the generated dust is easily collected, truly achieving energy savings.
